As a generous seasonal gift to shoppers, Tesco invited its Clubcard members to enter a draw to win their Christmas shop. Over a period of three weeks the supermarket gave away prizes worth £1 million, with winners receiving two £250 Tesco gift cards – one for themselves and one for a family member or friend.

ROLE
This was a purchase necessary prize promotion with a minimum spend of £1. To enter Clubcard customers were asked to go to a special website where they had to input their details and upload their proof of purchase. The draws took place once a week, with 668 winners randomly selected in the first week and 666 winners picked in the two subsequent weeks.
Prizeology worked out the campaign logistics, drew up the Ts&Cs, built the entry platform, managed all customer queries, as well as conducting all the the draws. We manually checked and verified each winner’s receipt before notifying them of their good fortune. Once they had claimed their prize, two £250 x Tesco e-gift cards were emailed to them within a few days.
